We have partnered with an early stage but incredibly well-backed startup who are looking to revolutionise the payments industry. Despite launching less than 6 months ago, they are already creating great excitement across the market.

In short, their mission is to make payments and card transactions much simpler for businesses hence why they are ramping up ahead of its well-anticipated investment round.

As a lead Cloud Architect, you will be involved in the early development of the company's cloud infrastructure (back-end, front-end, services, security) strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Daily responsibilities will include defining, creating and maintaining new systems to support the company’s business strategies and processes.

• You will also be tasked with leading operations and development teams whilst driving the long-test strategy and technology roadmap of the organisation.

• Collaborate with management to determine the requirements for new services as well as defining and documenting application architecture / design.

• Manage the development and implementation of a cloud infrastructure whilst applying development good practices to ensuring quality and security are part of all development phases.

Skills / Experience Required:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering, information technology preferred but not essential

• 8 years + experience in server infrastructures and 5 years + experience leading software development teams

• Scalable cloud products system architecture and containerization / orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Database systems, REST APIs, Microservices architectures patterns and Git & CI/CD

• Background in Amazon Web Services and security also desirable
