Job description

My client is a leading bank in the UAE looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist to join their team. You will be responsible for providing technical support for the bank’s mission-critical applications and systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users on mission-critical applications and systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing solutions.

  • Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving potential problems before they impact the business.

  • Liaise with other IT teams, software vendors and business users to ensure the timely resolution of issues.

  • Participate in the deployment and testing of new software releases and system upgrades.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledgebase articles.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Proven experience in application support in a banking or financial services environment.

  • Understanding of ITIL framework and experience working in an ITIL environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
