​Job Title: Senior Network Security Engineer

Location: Cheshire UK (Hybrid 2 days onsite)

Salary: 75k/95k GBP + Bonus

The role:

We’ve partnered with a leading finance company to find a skilled Senior Network Security Engineer with expertise in both architecture and engineering.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing and building high-level, end-to-end network security solutions from the ground up.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure platforms that support applications and data systems, leveraging hardware, software, networks, and cloud technologies.

Key Experience:

• Designing and implementing network security services (firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS)

• Building secured environments (DMZs, extranets, isolated systems)

• Cloud, virtualization, and containerization (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)

• Python scripting and automation (e.g. Ansible)

• Incident management and vulnerability resolution

• Cross-functional collaboration and risk management

• Key Tools and Technologies:

• FortiGate firewalls, Zscaler, IDS/IPS

• AWS, Docker, Kubernetes

• Python, Ansible

• SIEM, network monitoring tools
