​We are working with a leading financial services organisation in UAE that are enhancing their technology capability across the region.

You will maintain the IT infrastructure landscape encompassing on prem and cloud infrastructure, security systems, storage and networking appliances, applications and ancillary technology.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the transformation initiatives by researching and proposing forward looking, secure and cost-effective solutions.

• Responsible for providing technical deployment and maintenance of the complex IT Infrastructure landscape encompassing hybrid systems and apps in the cloud and on prem to ensure effective, stable operation and performance of the organization’s IT assets.

• Perform firmware, operating system, application patching and upgrades.

• Perform adequate monitoring, alerting, tuning and optimisation to ensure systems and apps are available to meet business demands effectively.

• Responsible for low level management and execution of relevant tasks for various IT systems and infrastructure initiatives and wider IT projects.

• Responsible for demonstrating appropriate technical expertise during all stages of projects, providing feedback and communication with stakeholders.

• Responsible for day-to-day support and operation of the IT environment and network infrastructure systems according to standardised operating procedures and within agreed SLA’s.

• Demonstrate L3, L2+L1 expertise in debugging complex issues spanning network, security, application, and cloud systems.

• Responsible to prioritise and execute the tasks withing the projects whilst balancing BAU commitments.

Skills / Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5+ years of advanced experience in IT architecture, systems, networks, virtualisation, and security infrastructure.

• Degree in Computer Science or IT, with preferably certifications Microsoft, Amazon, Cisco, HPE, Fortinet and or Palo Alto

• In-depth understanding and experience with Operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange, Databases (SQL), Web Applications (IIS, SharePoint, Oracle), Enterprise SAN storage, virtualization.

• Cloud platforms (IaaS, SaaS), 3+ years on Azure and AWS.

• Windows, Linux OS, VMWare and or Hyper-V.

• Wired & Wireless Networking – Switching, Routing, Load Balancing Cisco and Aruba.

• Scripting (PowerShell).

• Infrastructure as Code – Azure and or AWS.

• Firewalls (NGFW’s) – Palo Alto and FortiGate, Proxy Technologies.

• Familiar with Micro Services & Containers – Azure, Kubernetes.

• Microsoft 365 – MS Teams, EXO, SP Online, AZ AD, Security and Compliance, Purview.
